Scheduled @Formula agent ?

I needed a scheduled agent for a relatively simple task : email notifications. @MailSend would have done the job swiftly.

I couldn't find a way to make a scheduled agent coded in @Formula.

Now, those last few years I've done mostly Java and LotusScript agents so I'm not sure, but I seem to remember a time when it was possible to have @Formula scheduled agents. Could someone refresh my memory ?

Also, I can't find a rationale why not. Care to enlight me ?

I believe you can....

...it's just harder than heck to find....

Create your @Formula agent, then right-click in the Document Selection or Action pane, and select 'Agent Properties'.

You should be able to set the Runtime schedule there?

It got moved a few versions ago, I had on open PMR about it at the time, but it's gone nowhere....

Yes we can !

Thanks a lot !

Funny. I've been developing on Notes for 20 years and I still find myself puzzled at times. I guess this convoluted path is a leftover from the somewhat unfinished business of moving Designer to Eclipse.

Glad that worked!

and thanks for the reply!

I agree - sometimes i wonder!

I find it funny that I had a PMR open awhile back and that was was of the questions I asked - why did they take the option away - it took her a couple days to hear back from the 'developers', but they found the option. Apparently hiding it makes perfect sense (to the developers!)

;-)
